MP: Russian Sanction is a badge of honour
Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow announced that 287 British MPs have been banned from entering the Russian Federation due to their ‘Russophobic hysteria’. Many of those named on the banned list are no longer MPs, but John Baron MP is amongst the number of serving Parliamentarians who are no longer permitted to enter the Russian Federation.
John said,
“These sanctions are a badge of honour from a discredited regime, but it is inaccurate to say that we are ‘Russophobes’. The arguments we have are with the Russian Government, not the Russian people who are often the direct victims of a dictatorial, corrupt and uncaring regime – such as the young Russian conscripts sent to their deaths in Ukraine.”
“I will continue to oppose the illegal and unjustified Russian invasion of Ukraine and will not be inconvenienced by this travel ban. It could even work to my advantage – the Whips will no longer be able to send me to Siberia.”
