MP: 11,000 constituency households eligible for £300 payment
As part of the Government’s £94 billion cost of living support package, eight million low-income households will receive the second Cost of Living Payment of £300. In total, the most vulnerable households will receive £900 during 2023-2024. These include those in receipt of means-tested benefits, including Universal Credit, Pension Credit or tax credits. Further Cost of Living Payments will follow.
John said,
“The Government is doing the right thing in supporting vulnerable households, of which there are an estimated 11,000 in Basildon & Billericay. These payments build on the Cost of Living payments made last year, which were worth up to £1,200.”
“The Cost of Living Payment will be made automatically, so there is no need to apply, and it will not count towards the benefit cap or affect existing benefit awards.”
