MP encourages residents to have their say
John Baron MP, has today encouraged residents to respond to the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex’s survey about paying for policing, fire and rescue services in Essex. The Precept 2023/24 survey will be open until Sunday 27th November and will inform the setting of the 2023/24 budgets and precept.
John said:
“It is important for residents to have their say on Police, Fire and Rescue funding for 2023/24. Finances are difficult for many at the moment, and it is important that the right balance is struck to ensure these services are adequately funded without causing hardship for those presently struggling financially. It is therefore right that the Police and Crime Commissioner seeks views before deciding on the precept amount.”
