MP urges local residents to have their say on pylon route
Following the conclusion of a second non-statutory consultation in August 2023, National Grid have now launched a statutory consultation on their proposals for the Norwich to Tilbury route on Wednesday 10 April. The consultation will run for 10 weeks, closing at midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024. John Baron MP has today urged constituents to engage with the consultation.
National Grid are organising a number of Webinars and an event on 24th April [12-5pm] at the Basildon Sporting Village will provide a face-to-face option for local residents to see the new proposals.
John said:
“It is important for residents to engage with the consultation process to ensure that their views are heard. Having met previously with National Grid, I understand they are keen to work with residents to minimise the impact of this new infrastructure as much as possible.”
