MP: pays a visit to the delivery station in Christopher Martin Road
John Baron MP recently visited the Amazon delivery station in Christopher Martin Road, Basildon at the invitation of Ben Baruch, Public Policy Manager for the UK & Ireland. John met with Theo Smith, Delivery Station Manager along with his team and staff.
John was given a tour of the facilities and Theo was keen to showcase the work they are doing to support their employees with health & safety being the main priority.
John said:
“It was good to meet the team at Amazon – the company is a major employer in the constituency and beyond. We discussed a range of issues including the welfare of their employees, many of whom I met during the visit including one of their apprentices. We promised to keep in touch.”
Carita Ogden, (Public Policy Manager) said:
“We were delighted to host John Baron MP at our Basildon delivery station to show him how we deliver for our customers in the run up to Christmas. It was great that Mr Baron was able to speak to one of our local apprentices, as part of the visit, to find out more about the career opportunities at Amazon.”
