MP: Meets the new Head Teacher
John Baron MP recently met the new Head Teacher of Mayflower High School, Mr Damian Lee. Mr Lee took over as the Head in June this year and suggested a meeting with John to discuss his ideas for the school and the students going forward. The meeting covered a wide range of issues during which John welcomed Damian to his post and Damian conveyed that he was very pleased to see the students’ enthusiasm for learning when he took over.
After the meeting John then participated in a short Q&A session with the Year 12 politics students.
John said,
“It was a great pleasure to both meet Damian and participate in an interesting Q&A session with the Sixth Form Politics students – there were lots of good questions and discussions. I will continue to keep in touch with the school’s progress and wish them well.”
“Damian has also indicated that the school will be joining us in next year’s Fun Walk. We thank them for their support.”
Damian said,
“It was a pleasure to host such a long-standing member of parliament and we are particularly grateful to him for giving up his time to support our A-Level politics students in a Q&A session. Giving the students this kind of exposure to someone as experienced as John will not only aid them with their studies but also hopefully inspire them into a career within politics.”
