MP hosts Q&A session with students and teachers
John Baron MP recently met with a group of students [aged 7-11 years old] and teachers from Brightside Primary School in Billericay as part of their visit to Parliament organised by Parliament’s Education Service. As part of the visit, students undertake a tour and workshop to learn about how Parliament works. John visited the group at the Education Centre to speak about his role as their MP and to answer questions.
John said:
“It was great to meet with Brightside Primary School at the Education Centre and to answer their questions. It is always encouraging when young people take an active interest in politics and I was pleased to be able to meet with the group following their workshop.”
Mrs Crouchman, Deputy Headteacher said:-
“We took 35 children, in our Learning Council, from Year 1 to Year 6. It is important for our children to learn about democracy and Parliament. The children had a fantastic time visiting The Houses of Parliament and having the opportunity to ask John Baron MP lots of questions too!”
