MP: Survey will build understanding of the veteran community
The ONS is publishing the results of the 2021 census in England and Wales, which for the first time included a question asking whether the respondent was a former member of the Armed Forces. In addition to this, and as part of the Veterans’ Strategy Action Plan 2022-24, today the Government is launching a survey to understand the veteran community. This is the first-ever large scale exercise to collect feedback from veterans in the UK, and the survey will be open for twelve weeks.

“The responses to this new survey will help build understanding of the experiences, needs and well-being of the veteran community, and will help guide future Government action. It wishes to hear a wide range of views, and so I encourage as many former members of the Armed Forces and their families as possible to make their contribution. As a veteran, I look forward to making mine.”
